Wednesday I got home from work and went right to my bedroom changed my work cloths to running cloths (NO thinking allowed) and out the door and down the road I went....Yes I ran 5 miles at a steady 8.33 pace and FELT GREAT. I got the Garmin forerunner for christmas and realized wednesday it was prefect device for pacing me. I'm terrible about pacing I go really really fast and die and then I say OK run alittle slower and the next thing I know I'm speeding down the road again....The watch really helped me keep a consitant pace which in turn gave me a great run which I felt great after and since. I can't wait to run this afternoon now. The weather has been GREAT and will stay that way for the next couple of days.
I'm getting pretty excited for the half marathon on the 17th of this month even though my training has been spotted and/or not all I think I will do ok and this will just have to stay a "FUN RACE"!! I really don't want to get injuried this early in the season and with lack of training is very likely to happen.
Sunday I almost can't wait (but can b/c that means the weekend is over with) K and I are heading to do a MTN hike (hopefully just us girls, no BABIES) Both of us are in desperate need of a break from the Men and the babies......I think this will be a great day for us. I got her started with hiking last year and this year I'm getting her into running, weather she likes and sticks with the running will depend on her and I promised her I would not pressure her into anything she really didn't want to do nor be disappointed.
