Hot Pink Brooks Running shoes Review
I bought these shoes back in June. They are the Brooks PureCadence (last years model) LOVE THEM. Ended up buying another pair of Brooks PureCadence (this years model) in purple. So that I can altrenate them hopefully last longer. I love the way they fit and feel and they are very light. Do seem to promote forefoot striking. This year is my first year back into running after a year and half off between having my second baby and dealing with my first borns epilepsy. I went from running 3 miles in March to running a half marathon in June to running a 40K trail run in August. No injuries!! Yahoo
Loving my HOT PINK running shoes.

June 9 2013 Biggest Loser half mary recap
I am writing this recap 3 months late. Trying to get back into blogging. Life has been very challenging the last year and half. This race is my second for 2013. Back in April I ran the Plattsburgh half marathon as a relay with my sister-in-law and knew then I was ready to get back to running.
The Biggest Loser was a great race. Well put together, lots of energy, and not so competitive.
My birthday was June 8th, I turned 34, it's going by way to fast know. The next day I ran a half marathon first in a year and a half. It felt great and I learn a lot from this race. I felt great for the first 10 miles and then it was all over. I learned that I have to fuel right from the get go. If I don't I don't have enough stored to get me through longer race. I learned that probably not a good idea to run in new shoes though my feet survived the adventure, I did end up with a blister on a toe....I've never had to use the portapotty before and at mile 11 had to run in and use it. and after that it was over. I was struggling just to finish.
I took second in my age group, my time was around 1:56:23. I was hoping for a time under 1:40.
Since I've been back to running it's felt amazing and as some people have told me I am in a different mind set this time around. I am finding it so easy and I seem to be progressing very nicely.
My mom made me an Epilepsy shirt to wear at my races to spread awareness of Epilepsy. My 4 year old has a severe childhood epilepsy. (But is doing great at the moment).

I'm Back :)
I have not been on here for some time, things have been a little crazy.
First had to shut off Internet (along with other things) at home to save up some money. Our house project took on a life of its own and though we are all caught up now it took some time in the begin to get caught up. Now I can't image not doing this project, it looks amazing!! I will have to post a picture or two. We use to have two separate rooms living room and kitchen and they were very small. Now we have one big room and it is all pine walls, maple floor, and spurs trim!!!
Secondly, we found out I was pregnant with our second in July 2011 already a month along... We are having another boy due in 3 weeks! That was rough in the beginning when we first found out really wasn't expecting to get pregnant and I was having some health issues but baby and Mommy are very healthy and doing great and I'm so anxious to meet him.
Thirdly, I was not allowed to do any kind of exercising b/c I was underweight and having a hard time gaining the weight and I had severe morning sickness. It's been a nice break I guess you could say but hard, I feel like I have NO energy and NO strength which is so frustrating and I also know that it is going to be a long road back to running...
I've been doing research online and praying that my two boys allow me to start getting back into running. I have though decidedI AM NOT GOING TO BEAT MYSELF up if I can't make it work out! Once my husband goes back to work I'm pretty much left to fend for myself. He is a construction foreman and works long hours in the summer. I don't have a double jogger and can't really afford one right now, I'm hoping to find someone that would at least let me Borrow theirs. However I do have a treadmill and it is all set up and ready for me to RUN on it! I'm so excited to get back to running I can't hardly stand it. And this weather has not been helping. We haven't had much of a winter this year and when I get up and its 36-40 degrees out I so want to be running. I hate driving and seeing people out running I'm so jealous!!
Soon Enough I'm almost there!

Busy busy busy
First off, I ran a 5k Beer fun Run with my girlfriend (it was her first race EVER). Congrats to my girl Keiri and she pretty much pushed the stroller (with two 34lbs kids that would not sit still) the whole time won't hand it over for a break, says "I like the challenge", you go girl!!! (I knew there was a reason I liked her so much). Then we took the kids to the park and then for Ice cream! They crashed on the way home.
Secondly: My 32nd Birthday was on June 8th. My mom and I went to Lake Placid, NY for some girl time and a little bit of shopping. (my sons 2nd birthday is June 29th, we bough presents for him)!! Had a fantastic day with my mom and the weather was gorgeous!!! Could not have asked for a better day!
Thirdly: Getting really excited for my Son's 2nd Birthday Bash! It's this Sunday at our house. I just do family I don't go crazy or anything. Hopefully the weather will stay nice for us.
Well this is going to be a quick Update.

Race recap
Yesterday was my 10K trail run at Paul Smiths, NY. It is part of the Trophy Serials around the United States. First of all I was up at 4am freaking out b/c it dawned on me that I hadn't seen my Garmin in a few days and thought it was lost. But at 4am I couldn't really look for it b/c everyone was still sleeping and so I didn't sleep b/c I was FREAKING OUT! I can not go without my Garmin anymore!!!!!!It has been very wet here and of course yesterday was no different. The trails were wet and muddy and at one point I thought I lost one of my sneakers and I tied them on tight. The first mile and half was very painful for some reason my arms were so tight that it made it very hard to run. I stopped took a GU and some water walked for a second and then I must have worked through it b/c I felt great the rest of the race. I ran with on guy for a while and then followed another guy for a while and thankful for that b/c I would probably have gotten lost. He left me and I ended up finishing the race with another guy. Everyone was very friendly yesterday. The last mile of the 10K my hips and one knee hurt so bad but I finished. I forgot how different trail running was from road racing. I told my mom I'll only be about 45 minutes or so and it ended up taking me 1:04. At one point I looked at my watch and I was running a 12 minute pace, I walk that fast..... It was a really fun race!!!
I am not signed up for anymore races and am so bummed about it. Some of the races around here are so expensive and this year we are pretty broke. I am doing a 5k fun run next Sunday and the weekend after do another trail run (but probably just a 5k again)
Today my hips and one arm is KILLING ME! I HURT, but I'll do it AGAIN!!

Busy Weekend
Friday:
Frontier Communications finally showed up it was only the 3rd time making a appointment for them to show...... So my Internet at home is back online. My girlfriend K and her daughter C came down for a little bit to play and it rains the whole time. We just let the kids play in the rain till it started raining harder... It was nice to have the kids worn right down.
Saturday:
K, C, myself and Brodie went up to Point Au Roche state park for a "Fun Day". They had 5 gallon white buckets ready for doing planting. I think Brodie is still a little to small for this kind of thing but he enjoyed anyway and we got to take them home. I free tomato plant! Then we tried to take a nature walk but C just wasn't going with the plan so we turned around and started to head back to the entrance. But before we left we all had to try some fresh smoothies and Brodie drank out of a big boy cup again and did awesome. A newspaper guy came over and took pictures of the kids and took their names down. It wasn't in Sundays' paper or todays. I'll be so excited to see my little man in the paper! Brodie crashed in the truck and we headed home where he finished the rest of his nap. He was exhausted. I got yard and house work done around the house and then we just played with Brodie when he got up from his nap.
Sunday:
Brodie had his first Birthday Party! They had one of those blow up Hugh like 15x15 castle with a slide and all. The kids had a BLAST! Got lots of great pictures of Brodie and the twins (twin girls) playing, eating, and crashing! It was a great day though a little windy.
And as for ME, the mommy,
I got really nothing done, no running, no errands, well a little gardening and cleaning up but nothing I "really" wanted to do but don't get me wrong the activities of the weekend were just PREFECT!

Health issues
Well I seem to be still dealing with some health issues. I had gained 3lbs and that put me over 110 but since then have lost all 3lbs and am back under 110, plus been having some serious stomach problems which makes me NOT want to eat. I had blood work done and everything came back normal. I'm very dizzy/light head and had my first vertigo the other day and that freaked me out. I just don't now but it makes it hard to follow training. I didn't run at all last week and this week, very frustrated! Hopefully things start to get better. Gotta go back to the doctors :(
I hope to be finally back online tonight (at home)!!! They better show:/
Have a great weekend all!
